Union Minister Emphasizes Inclusive Development at Viksit Bharat Yatra camp in Palghar

Union Minister of State for Panchayat Raj Minister Kapil Patil on Monday said that it is essential that the benefits of developmental schemes introduced by the government reach the truly needy. Speaking at a grand camp arranged in Palghar district as part of the the Viksit Bharat Yatra campaign, Mr. Patil said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched this campaign as he believes that India can develop only when its villages are developed.<br />''<br />''Earlier, Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais inaugurated the camp and urged the local administration to focus on eradicating malnutrition from the tribal-dominant Palghar district in the next five years.<br />''<br />''Stressing the importance of education and skill development, Mr. Bais further said that he hoped that every citizen in the district would be skilled in the near future so that he/she could become financially independent and help in society's development.<br />''<br />''Talking about the Prime Minister's 'Vocal for Local' campaign, Mr. Bais said the promotion and sale of local products not only helps budding entrepreneurs but also helps in preserving the locality's rich culture and heritage.<br />''<br />''Later, the Governor and Mr. Patil visited the various stalls put up to inform, educate and raise awareness about the government's various developmental programs. They also interacted with the beneficiaries of numerous schemes.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, one of the Viksit Bharat IEC vans reached Bodhadi and Thara villages in the Nanded district today.
