<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Union Minister for Heavy Industries  Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey had a meeting with Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) and Commerce and Industry Chamber at Leh and reviewed the industry sector. He spoke about the schemes and other multidimensional activities in Ladakh and the implementation of schemes for beneficiaries in Leh. The Minister is in Ladakh on a three-day visit from June 29 to July 1 to conduct a study tour in the border villages identified under the recently launched   Vibrant Village Programme.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The focus of the meeting was on strengthening indigenous manufacturing in Leh Ladakh. LAHDC requested the minister for provision of  Freight or Transport -Subsidy for procurement of raw materials like Cement, Steel, Wood Iron and glass and grant of permission for enhancement of Truck Carriage capacity from 9 tonne to 15 tonne at Zojila Pass on the Srinagar to Leh National Highway. They also requested the minister for some relaxation in the reservation of locally manufactured product by local MSME unit holders for procurement to be procured by the Government Department and organization.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>
