Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Munjapara urges people of Mizoram to embrace AYUSH for healthier life

Union Minister of State for Women & Child Development and AYUSH, Dr. Mahendra Munjapara has said that the ancient system of medicine-Ayurveda has been practised for health and wellness since ancient days and benefited people since time immemorial. Dr. Munjapara, who is on a three-day visit to the state, was speaking in a review meeting in Aizawl today with the state officials of AYUSH and Women and Child Development departments.<br />''<br />''He urged the people of Mizoram to embrace AYUSH as a way of life for a healthier life and asked officials to go for more awareness drives among the people. Applauding the efforts being carried out by the AYUSH department of the state in spreading out the Ayurveda, he said the Ministries of AYUSH and Women & Child Development are working well across the country.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In the review meeting, state officials headed by the Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, AYUSH Directorate Esther Lalruatkimi, and Secretary of Social Welfare and Tribal Affairs Arun Mishra took part in discussions.<br />''<br />'' Officials said the state is pushing for the setting up of 38 AYUSH Health & Wellness Centres in the state out of which more than half of them are functioning to date.</span><br />
