Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh yesterday held a video conference with officers of health department of Union Territory of J&amp;K to review COVID-19 preparedness. He lauded the efforts of medical fraternity of J&amp;K in combating the spread of Corona virus. He said that due to coordinated efforts undertaken under the leadership of Financial Commissioner Atal Dulloo, the UT has been able to limit the spread of disease to a great extent. He also said all health institutions in J&amp;K have done a commendable job in controlling the spread. He &nbsp;appreciated the efforts of whole medical fraternity, resident doctors and medical officers who have been working at the forefront in management of COVID positive cases.<br />''<br />''Mr. Dulloo apprised the Minister about the status of COVID cases and said that more than 850 samples are being tested in UT on a daily basis. He said that J&amp;K stands second in the country for number of tests done per million of population. He also informed that more than ten thousand isolation beds and thirty thousand quarantine beds have been designated for COVID care management and the UT has sufficient stock of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for now. Mr. Dulloo added that in a week's time free flow of PPE supplies would resume, and all other logistics are in sufficient stock.<br />
