Union Minister for  Petroleum & Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan today said priority initiatives such as Startup India, Skill India, Digital India, Ease of Doing Business under the Modi government have steered India as a global investment destination. He was speaking  at the DG Carbons Roadshow programme on the sidelines of the ADIPEC 2018 in Abu Dhabi. He said there has never been a better time to do business in India . <br />'' <br />''Addressing international stakeholders from the field of petroleum and natural gas, Mr Pradhan explained how the energy consumption in India in the past decade has increased at a compound annual growth rate of more than 5%. He also explained the measures taken by Governmrnt of India to overhaul the policy framework encompassing the entire energy value chain to ensure energy security for the country.<br />''<br />''<br />''The Minister said India intends to create a robust natural gas trading hub and the process to formalise the concept has already been initiated by the Government. <br />''<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Referring to the World Bank's ranking Mr Pradhan  said India is the most competitive country in South Asia as per Global Competitiveness Index and ranks 77 position in World Bank's Doing Business 2019 survey, compared to 130 position in 2017.</span><br />
