Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan today launched the Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojna in Madhya Pradesh at a function held in Shahdol. <br/><br/>He said that the Centre will ensure that 35 lakh women belonging to poor households get benefit of the scheme in Madhya Pradesh. He said that another 15 lakh belonging to non-BPL families will also benefit and will get LPG connections in the state. <br/><br/>Mr. Pradhan said that while about 60 out of 100 households in the country have LPG, in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh only nine households have access to LPG fuel. <br/><br/>The Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojna will address the concerns of women living in such districts and bring clean LPG fuel to their kitchen. <br/><br/>The minister said that the Modi government will ensure that undeserving people are eliminated through technological interventions.<br/><br/>He said that enumeration and distribution under the Ujjwala scheme will be undertaken in a transparent manner.
