<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today inaugurated and laid foundation of several oil and gas projects in Tripura at a function held in ONGC complex in Agartala. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion Shri Pradhan said Tripura is ranked number one in production of natural gas in the country as the state produces 4.96 mmscmd gas per day which is highest in the country.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also said that there is huge amount of natural gas available in Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and other northeast states, and that is being tapped into the North East Gas Grid (NEGG) costing Rs 9,265 crore. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Pradhan said the Centre has cleared this project to transport gas among the northeastern states as well as West Bengal.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Pradhan and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today jointly dedicated Rs. 215 crore Sonamura Gas Collecting Station (GCS) of ONGC. Besides, three more path-breaking projects to realize the North East vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have also been taken off today in the state.</span>
