Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his special mention of the Bali Yatra of Cuttack in Odisha in a community programme in Bali in Indonesia today. Describing the Prime Minister as one of the greatest ambassadors of India's culture and traditions, the minister said that he has once again honoured Odia pride and placed the Cuttack Baliyatra at the global centre stage.<br />'' <br />''The minister said that the Prime Minister has reiterated Odisha's timeless tradition and cultural connect with Indonesia. The Bali Yatra held in the Millenium city of Cuttack is a celebration of the glorious maritime past of Odisha and ancient India's trade ties with the outside world including Bali. The Bali Yatra held annually is now underway in Cuttack since the Kartik Poornima i.e the 8th of this month has been attracting heavy footfalls.
