Union Minister for Labour &amp; Employment and Environment, Forest &amp; Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav on Saturday announced the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) interest rate for the year 2021-2022 after chairing the two-day long meeting of the 230th Central Board of Trustees (CBT) at Guwahati.<br />''<br />''The Union Minister informed that the CBT recommended 8.10 percent rate of interest for its subscribers and said that this government is working for the welfare of the downtrodden.<br />''<br />''He informed that it has also been decided to set up centers for study of occupational diseases and he further mentioned that to monitor ongoing construction of hospital projects, a dashboard in ESIC has also been developed including enhancing capacity to dispose pension and claim cases of the EPFO.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the EPFO is playing a great role for the benefit of the workers and labourers of the unorganised sectors.<br />''<br />''MoS for Labour &amp; Employment and Petroleum &amp; Natural Gas, Rameswar Teli informed that over 64 lakh people of Assam have registered themselves in the E-Shram portal.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<br />
