<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of Railways, Communication, and Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw arrived at Lachung in Sikkim's Mangan district today to take stock of development in border areas under the Vibrant Villages programme.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;<br />'' Speaking to local people, Mr. Vaishnaw expressed the need to understand their needs and demands to ensure the strengthening of tele and road connectivity, among other projects, under the Vibrant Villages programme. He assured redressal of grievances related to broadband connectivity in the area within three months. The Minister inaugurated a common service centre in Lachung, released a special cover and distributed Sukanya cards. Mr Vaishnaw interacted with students and teachers of Thomchi Secondary school and expressed the need to organise an educational tour for the students to Delhi.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Sikkim Roads and Bridges Minister and local MLA Samdup Lepcha was also present, among others.
