Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju & J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti inaugurate upgraded terminal building at Jammu Airport

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju along with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today inaugurated the upgraded terminal building at Jammu Airport.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said that Indian Aviation is one of the fastest growing sector of the world and in recent times a number of intiatives have been taken for the unprecedented development of this sector.<br/><br/>Mr.Raju further said that the upgradation of Jammu airport would improve connectivity as well as enhance the economic activity in the region.<br/><br/>He said that looking into the tourism potential of the state the upgradation of Jammu airport is the need of the hour. He assured that union ministery of civil aviation would look into the State's demands including that of a new airport for Jammu. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed her gratitude to the centre for the upgradation of the terminal building of Jammu Airport.<br/><br/>Union Minster of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi government in the centre is marching ahead keeping up its agenda of constant development.<br/><br/>MoS in PMO Dr.Jitendra Singh highlighted the union government's recent intiatives taken for the development of Jammu and Kashmir.<br/><br/>Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Cheif Minister Nirmal Singh, MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Shamsher Singh Manhas were among others present on the occasion.
