<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur laid the foundation stone of the Indoor Stadium at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Chittorgarh in Rajasthan today, January 9. </span><br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Thakur said, till the year 2014, the budget for sports used to be 800 crore rupees, which has now been increased to 3,000 crore rupees by the Modi government. The Minister said that the sports scenario in the country has been completely changed through the Khelo India campaign. <br />''<br />''Mr. Thakur said that the Central Government spends more than 6 lakh rupees on the training of each player in the Khelo India campaign. The Union Sports Minister said that former sportspersons are also being employed in the country through the Khelo India campaign. <br />''<br />''Mr. Thakur said the central government plans to open 1000 centers across the country under the Khelo India campaign.  He said that out of this 750 centers have been opened and the remaining 250 centers would be opened by August this year. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Sports Minister said that in order to prepare and encourage players for the Olympics and international games, the Modi government is encouraging players under the Target Podium Scheme. He said 100 crore rupees have been spent for this. </span><br />
