Union Minister Anurag Thakur inaugurates PSA Oxygen Plant at Himachal Pradesh's Civil Hospital Taunidevi in Hamirpur district

In Himachal Pradesh, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur today inaugurated a PSA Oxygen Plant at Civil Hospital Taunidevi in Hamirpur district with an investment of about one crore rupees. The Union Minister also launched state-of-the-art ultrasound machines, portable X-rays and other medical modern machines at a cost of around 70 lakh rupees.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, the Minister called for a campaign to create awareness about breast cancer with the help of Mahila Mandals and Panchayati Raj Institutions. He further stated that the TB-free campaign should also be intensified to make the state TB-free.<br />'' <br />''Mr Thakur said, MP Mobile Health Service is also engaged in serving the people day and night and in four years more than seven lakh people have been provided these health facilities. <br />''<br />''He said that apart from the Parliamentary Constituency, MP Health Mobile Service is also providing its services in Chamba, Sirmaur and Mandi districts. He also inspected the medical college being built at Jol Sappad, Hamirpur. He said, the construction work is being done expeditiously and by the end of this year, the medical college will be ready to cater the medical facilities to the general public.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Earlier,  Mr Thakur launched an Automatic Sanitary Pad Production Machine at Narsee. Addressing the occasion, he said, today a new beginning has been made in the cleanliness campaign by installing sanitary napkin machines. Along with this, women will also get employment opportunities with the establishment of this unit. He also called for making them available in schools and Panchayats.</span>
