Giving a clear signal that no compromise would be done on effluent treatment, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar launched the India-Chem 2016, in Mumbai today. The event has been jointly organised by Ministry of Chemical and Petrochemicals and FICCI. <br/><br/>Mr. Kumar said the petrochemical sector has 50 billion dollars investment. His ministry will clear the brown field development, if the Environment ministry assured that the chemical industry will come forward in a cluster manner and will safeguard the environment. <br/><br/>The Minister said India currently ranks 6th in the world in chemical sector and expressed his wish to occupy top rank.
