Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of Sahakar Samridhi Soudha and inaugurated various development works worth 1400 crore rupees in Bengaluru on 24<sup>th</sup> March 2023. He laid the foundation stones for a 67-acre market yard for agriculture produce, a market for the flower growers at a cost of 11 crore rupees in Binnypet APMC yard and a multi-level car parking in Yeshwantpur APMC at a cost of eight crore rupees.<br />''<br />''He inaugurated different buildings of Karnataka Milk Federation, a 100 MW Group Captive Solar power plant built at a cost of 430 crore rupees a cattle feed plant at Chikballapur and Piriyapatna at a cost of  190 crore rupees, packaging plant at a cost of 95 crore rupees and hostel for students at Belagavi. <br />''<br />''In his address, the Home minister said that under Jal Jeevan Mission, arrangements for drinking water are being made in Panchayats like Kumblagodu, Ramohalli, Jalahalli, Chikkanahalli, Chunchanakuppe and Kaggalahalli at a cost of 182 crore rupees. A new oxygen plant, underground drainage facility of Bangalore Development Authority, construction of roads at Banashankari block and many other development projects worth 128 crore rupees will be taken up in Yeshwanthpur.<br />''<br />''Mr Shah said that the mission of the Prime Minister is to make the whole nation prosperous and every state progressive. He said the department of Cooperation has taken up computerisation of all the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies and transformed them into Common Service Centers. This will help them offer services like gas distribution, water distribution, petrol distribution. He added that the GeM portal has been opened in all the cooperative institutions. Huge tax benefits are provided to the Cooperatives. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision to empower the cooperatives and multi-state cooperative societies formed for seeds, organic products and exports.<br />
