Union Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya today said, his ministry will amend the Tea Plantation Act. Talking to newspersons in Guwahati, he said the new law would have a provision of giving more salaries to tea workers instead of rations. He said that the amendment will be brought in the upcoming Budget session of the Parliament. <br/><br/>He said that instruction has been given to all North Eastern States to conduct a fresh survey on child labourers. Earlier, the Minister held a review meeting with Labour ministers and officials of North East in Guwahati.
