Union Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar introduces 3 bills in Lok Sabha

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar today introduced three bills in Lok Sabha aimed at improving the working condition of workers and protecting their interests at places of work.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Occupational Safety, Health And Working Conditions Code, 2020, seeks to amend the laws regulating the occupational safety, health and working conditions of the persons employed in an establishment. The Industrial Relations Code, 2020, aims at amending the laws relating to Trade Unions, conditions of employment in industrial establishment or undertaking, investigation and settlement of industrial disputes. The third bill, namely, The Code On Social Security, 2020 seeks to amend the laws relating to social security of the employees in the country. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Gangwar had introduced the three legislations earlier last year which were withdrawn today and the new bills were introduced.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">RSP Member N. K. Premachandran, Manish Tewari and Shashi Tharoor from Congress and A. M. Ariff from CPM objected to the withdrawal of the earlier bills, which they said were referred to the Standing Committee and were pending with it. They demanded that the new bills may be sent to the Standing Committee for further consideration. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In his reply, Mr. Gangwar informed that 177 changes in the earlier bills as proposed by the Standing committee have already been incorporated in the new bills. The Minister also informed that views of various stakeholders were taken and amalgamated while framing the three labour codes.</span><br />''
