United Liberation Front of Asom, ULFA, have requested the Central government to associate its leader Anup Chetia with ongoing peace process. Chetia was recently repatriated from Bangladesh to India. The suggestion came in a meeting of representatives of Assam government and ULFA was held in New Delhi today under the Chairmanship of Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi. The progress made in the talks with ULFA was reviewed in the meeting. <br/> <br/>Rajiv Mehrishi said the request made by the ULFA leaders should be examined. Discussions were cordial and it was agreed to meet again as soon as mutually convenient to move the peace process forward. The ULFA delegation was led by its chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa.
