The centre has issued an advisory to all states to be on high alert and warned the citizens not to approach or open any unattended or unidentified object or packet. Instead they should report all such cases to the nearest police station. Mr Pillai said that the Home Minister is closely monitoring the situation from Tamil Nadu and the position is being reviewed continuously. Congress President Sonia Gandhi has expressed her anguish over the terror blast in Pune and conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved families. Mrs. Gandhi called up Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan to inquire about the situation in the wake of the blast and the investigations into it.BJP spokesman Prakash Jawadekar, who visited the blast site, has demanded government to reconsider the proposed dialogue with Pakistan in the wake of the blast .
