Union Health Ministry designated the President of the Paralympic Committee of India Dr. Deepa Malik as Nikshay Mitra ambassador in New Delhi today, November 26. It is an initiative under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.  <br />''<br />''Ms. Malik said, she herself is a Tuberculosis survivor. She said that the treatment of TB is a long process and to eliminate it the patients must not feel demotivated to continue the treatment.<br />''<br />''Ms. Malik, who bagged 23 international sports medals at various events, said she herself is an example of not giving up in spite of various health issues for the past 23 years.<br />''<br />''Talking to AIR News Ms. Malik said, as a Nikshay Mitra ambassador along with physical treatments, she will concentrate on the mental growth of the patients as well. <br />
