Union Health Minister lays foundations of two medical colleges in UP

Union Health Minister J P Nadda today laid foundations of two medical colleges in Basti and Faizabad districts of Uttar Pradesh. <br/><br/>During foundation laying ceremonies, he said, five new medical colleges are being opened in Uttar Pradesh to enhance medical facilities in the state. <br/><br/>The Minister said, a state level cancer institute and seven other cancer institutes are also being established in the state. In his address at Basti, Mr Nadda said, a State Cancer Institute will be opened in Allahabad at the cost of 150 crore rupees. <br/><br/>In his address at Faizabad, the Minister said, Centre is working on to provide dialysis facilities in all the districts of state and in 36 districts this facility has already been provided. He said, the BPL card holders will be able to get free dialysis from the respective hospitals. <br/><br/>Earlier, in Gorakhpur, Mr Nadda laid the foundation stone of super speciality block at B R D medical college. He also announed for setting up of new Regional Virology Lab in the medical college. <br/><br/>Mr Nadda assured that Centre will provide all assistance to tackle encephalitis in the region. Union state Minister for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel was also present in the programmes.
