Union Health Minister assures all-out health care assistance to flood-hit J&K

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said that all assistance will be provided to the Jammu & Kashmir health authorities to tackle any possible epidemic as aftermath of floods and provide Medicare to the people.

He was speaking at a meeting, held with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and senior officers, to review the ongoing relief operations in the state in Srinagar today. Dr Harsh Vardhan took a detailed review of the health related relief measures, stock of essential medicines and other healthcare facilities.

He assured the state of all the assistance and asked the State Health authorities to press Medical teams to various affected areas so that much needed health care facilities are provided to the public.

He said that it is important to inform the people about the water purification methods and other vaccinations to check diseases.
