Union government to hold year-long commemoration of Hyderabad State liberation

Union Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy has invited chief ministers of Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra requesting them to join inaugural programme of commemoration of the Hyderabad Liberation day to be held across these three state. The State of Hyderabad which was under the Nizam's Rule was annexed into the Union of India after a police action.  The Union Tourism ministry will be officially observing the 75 years of liberation commemorating the day. The central government will hold an year-long commemoration to mark 75 years of 'Hyderabad State Liberation', with Home Minister Amit Shah as chief guest at the inaugural event on September 17.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, the Telangana State cabinet meeting chaired by Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to celebrate the day as the Telangana National Integration Day from 16th of this month for three days.
