In the event, the Assam government is to distribute financial assistance of 3 thousand rupees each to nearly 7.5 lakh people belonging to tea garden areas. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Rameshwar Teli and state Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also attended the event.
