<span style="color: #222222;">Union Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba today reviewed preparedness and actions taken to contain the spread of COVID-19 with Chief Secretaries of all states through video conferencing. He also reviewed the steps taken for the creation of mass awareness about the Novel Coronavirus.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;<br />'' During the meeting, Mr Gauba stressed on strengthening preventive and control measures with an adequate number of isolation wards and enhancing quarantine facilities. He also emphasized to ensure that passengers arrived from the identified countries are quarantined as per the laid guidelines.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Centre has declared masks and hand sanitizers as essential commodities under the Essential Commodities Act upto 30th of June this year.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Under the Essential Commodities Act, states can ask manufacturers to enhance their production capacity of these items, to make the supply chain smooth.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Indian nationals are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential travel abroad and refrain from travelling to countries reporting high cases and deaths as mentioned in Travel Advisories.&nbsp;</span><br />'' &nbsp;
