<span style="color: #222222;">The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill 2019 will be introduced in the upcoming budget session of Parliament. It will replace the Muslim women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) 2nd ordinance 2019. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Union Cabinet approved the Bill today. Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, the bill will ensure gender equality<b> </b>and will empower the Muslim women. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Bill proposes to declare the practice of instant Triple Talaq as void and illegal. It also makes an offence punishable with imprisonment upto 3 years and fine. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It will also provide for payment of subsistence allowance to married muslim women and dependent children.
