Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman on Friday said the Union Budget delicately balances the development objectives and keeping the fiscal prudence. Replying to discussion on the Budget in Rajya Sabha this evening, Ms Sitharaman said this Budget brings in more futuristic opportunities for country's youth. She stated that total resources being transferred to the states is estimated at 17.98 lakh crore rupees, which is considerably higher as compared to last two years. She said Centre is consistently increasing devolution in central share to the states.<br />'' <br />'' The Finance Minister said the Budget has a lot of provisions for the middle class, employment generation, MSMEs, agriculture, rural population, health and green growth. She said Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana has gone a great way in keeping extreme poverty to a low in the country.<br />'' <br />'' Participating in the discussion earlier, BJP's Arun Singh said India's economy is a bright spot in the world today. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for rise of India's economy. He added that the entire world listens when India speaks today.<br />'' &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br />'' Santanu Sen of TMC termed the Budget as opportunistic and not futuristic. He said the Budget does not speak about the rising inflation. He said it is not an inclusive Budget as there has been a huge cut in the schemes for minorities and rural development.<br />'' &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br />'' Sujeet Kumar of BJD praised Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the thrust laid by the Budget in the field of sports. He urged government to establish a Centre of Excellence in Millets in Odisha. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br />'' &nbsp;<br />''AGP's Birendra Prasad Baishya praised the Budget for being growth oriented and farmer friendly. He said it will aid economic growth and boost employment generation.
