Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar addresses 94th Annual General Meeting of ICAR Society in New Delhi

He said, India's supremacy in the Agriculture sector is increasing all over the world. The Minister emphasised that in New India, we have to reach out to all the farmers with new technology and research.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mr. Tomar informed that the highest ever agricultural exports amounting to 4 lakh crore rupees has been achieved, which is the highest ever. He said, in the coming times, our products of Natural and Organic Farming are going to become more popular in the world. The Minister informed that 2023 has been declared as the International Year of Millets and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to formally launch the programme on 18th March. He said, the International Year of Millets is not just an event but a big project to increase the production, productivity and market of Shree Anna.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Speaking on the occasion, Member, NITI Aayog  Ramesh Chand expressed satisfaction that the country's foodgrains production growth rate is faster than the country's population growth rate and that the momentum should accelerate. </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>
