In Jammu & Kashmir, an unidentified militant was killed in an encounter in Rang Warnoo Lolab area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district. Official sources told AIR that an AK-47 rifle and ammunition was recovered from his possession. Later, locals performed his last rites.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, anti militancy operations were launched late yesterday evening in Nowgam area of Handwara and Machhil Sector in the frontier district of Kupwara.<br/><br/>During past week, eight militants including top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sameer Wani were killed in four separate encounters in Kupwara district.
