Unidentified assailants murder federal judge in Russia

In Russia, unidentified assailants today murdered a federal judge in a village of the North Caucasus Republic of Kabardino-Balklaria. According to a law enforcement source, the car carrying the judge came under fire when it approached his home and he died from the wounds he sustained. The source said the assassination could be connected to the judge's professional duties. In the neighboring republic of Ingushetia, unknown attackers fired three grenades at a border guard unit in the capital of Nazran. No reports on the casualties have been made so far.
