UNESCO nature conservation team vists Karnataka

A team from the International Union for Conservation of Nature from UNESCO visited the Western Ghats region in Karnataka on Monday and Tuesday to find out the possibility of declaring nine locations there as World Heritage sites.After their visit to Kudremukh in Western Ghats, Wendis of the team said the purpose of declaring some areas of Western Ghat as heritage sites is to preserve them and draw the World’s attention towards them.
