An uneasy calm prevails in Darjeeling as the strike call given by Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) in the hills entered the ninth day on Tuesday. <br/><br/>Educational institutes are closed and there is a low attendance in government offices. <br/><br/>Shops and business establishments are mostly closed. No violent incident has, so far, been reported from anywhere in the district on Tuesday.<br/>'<br/>GJM is demanding a separate Gorkhaland and is protesting against the alleged killing of three of its supporters in clashes with police.<br/>'<br/>Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again reiterated that her government will not talk to anyone indulging in violence.<br/><br/>GJM has convened an all-party meeting on Tuesday to mull over the steps that can be taken by the government, the administration and political parties to evolve a strategy to prevent further violence and damage to life and property.<br/>
