In Uttar Pradesh, uneasy calm is prevailing in Dasna and Masuri areas of Gahziabad. Police forces are maintaining strict vigil on the situation. Prohibitory orders under 144 have been imposed in the town instead of curfew now. No untoward incident has been reported after Friday night.AIR Lucknow correspondent quoting police sources, reports that SHO of Masuri Police station has been suspended along with two Sub Inspectors on the charges of dereliction of duty. Meanwhile, Railway has also deployed Railway Protection Force (RPF) to maintain strict vigil on the rail tracks passing through DASNA and Masuri to assure the safety of rail passengers as well as railway property. Traffic is plying normally on the nearby NH24. Police is trying to nail the culprits who allegedly desecrated the pages of holy scripture and also who indulged in arson and violence activities. No arrests have been made in this regard so far, SSP Prashant Kumar said.
