Undersea earthquake jolts Indonesia

An undersea 6.3-magnitude earthquake rattled eastern Indonesia this evening. The US Geological Survey said the quake struck at a depth of 42 kilometres shortly after 8:00 pm local time. The epicentre was 132 kilometres from Ternate, in the Moluccas, and 161 kilometres from Manado on Sulawesi island. However, there was no tsunami warning and no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
