In Kolkata, three person was killed and a number of pedestrians seriously injured when a portion of a under construction flyover fell on the crowded road underneath. Locals informed that several persons are feared trapped under the debris. <br/><br/>The accident occurred this afternoon between the Vivekananda road and Kalikrishna Tagore street at Ganesh Talkies. Police, fire brigade and disaster management personnel were engaged in the rescue work when the reports last came in. State Chief Secretary and Home Secretary are on the accident site to supervise the relief and rescue operations. Central forces sent to State for the forthcoming elections have been deployed.
