In Nepal, the government and the opposition Maoists are yet to send a common letter to the UN Security Council regarding extension of its term that expires on 15th of this month leading to uncertainty on the future of the UN Mission in Nepal. The representatives of the government and the opposition Maoists have been holding meetings since last two days to narrow down differences on the content of a common letter to be send to the UN Security Council. Maoist Vice President Narayankai Shrestha said both the sides have arrived close to an agreement on the future role and term of UNMIN.
