Amid reports that the present Karnataka Chief Minister will continue in the chair, the top BJP leadership held discussions with both the factions. The meeting being held at the residence of senior party leader Mr Advani is being attended by the President Mr Rajnath Singh apart from senior leaders Mrs Sushma Swaraj and Mr Murli Manohar Joshi. The party leaders Mr Arun Jaitley and Mr Ananth Kumar earlier met the dissident leader Mr Janaradhan Reddy who briefed them on the latest political developments in the party in Karnataka.<br/> Mr. Jaitely said that he was hopeful that a solution to the crisis will be found and refuted reports that Mr. Ananth Kumar is fueling the dissidence in the state. Mr. Janardhan Reddy who along with his brother Karunakar Reddy is spearheading the revolt against Chief Minister, Yeddyurappa, said he was hopeful that that central leadership will provide a better leader in the interest of Karnataka and the BJP in the state.<br/> On Sunday, Dhananjay Kumar the emissary of the Chief Minister had claimed that central leadership wanted the status quo to be maintained .
