Uncertainty continues to prevail in Andhra Pradesh; hectic political parleys on to deal with crisis

Uncertainty continues to prevail in Andhra Pradesh as both pro and anti-Telangana camps demonstrate to press their points. The Chief Minister Rosaiah has held discussions on late Sunday evening to narrow down the differences of opinion among his cabinet members over Telangana issue even as the Ministers hailing from Coastal and Rayalaseema regions and those from Telangana stuck to their stands. Chief Minister Rosaiah has asked both the groups not to take any hasty decision in the backdrop of present political crisis as no concrete step has been finalized so far on formation Telanagna state. After holding separate meetings, representatives of the Ministers from both the regions have called on the Chief Minister to explain their stands.<br/>While the Ministers from Coastal and Rayalaseema regions said there was no backtrack on their decision to resign in favour of unified state. Eleven Ministers and 10 MPs from Telangana rallied together for the first time and wrote a letter to Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi hailing the Centre’s decision to initiate the process to carve out Telangana state.<br/><br/>Hectic parleys are on at political and Government level to resolve the crisis that emerged after 138 MLAs from Rayalaseema and Coastal regions cutting across the party lines had tendered their resignations. AIR corespondent reports that both ruling and opposition parties are concerned about resolving the issue as the state Assembly to resume its session this morning after a break.<br/><br/>
