United Nations warned that global hunger is on the rise again after a decade of decline. In a report published yesterday on world food security and nutrition, UN agencies, including the World Food Programme and the children's agency UNICEF said more than 800 million people did not get enough to eat last year. <br/><br/>The report estimates that in 2016, 815 million people were chronically undernourished, an increase of 38 million from the previous year. The report suggests conflicts in the Middle East and Africa, as well as droughts and floods caused by global warming, have worsened the food security situation. <br/><br/>The report also says that 155 million children under five are stunted, or too short for their age, 75 percent of them in countries affected by conflict.
