United Nations has urged Myanmar to allow Bangladesh-based Rohingya refugees to return home. This was stated by UN Chief Antonio Guterres during his meeting with Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi at a summit in Manila,Philippines. <br/><br/>A UN statement said that the Secretary General highlighted that strengthened efforts to ensure humanitarian access, safe, dignified, voluntary and sustained returns, as well as true reconciliation between communities, would be essential. US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will also hold talks with Suu Kyi today in Manila.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Myanmar army has released the results of an internal investigation in which it exonerates itself of blame regarding the Rohingya crisis. It denies killing any Rohingya people, burning their villages, raping women and girls, and stealing possessions. Amnesty International said the army's report was an attempted whitewash. The human rights organisation also called for UN fact finders to be allowed into the region.<br/><br/>More than 600,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh since Myanmar's military started clearance operations in response to attacks by Rohingya militants in late August. <br/><br/>
