The US President Mr. Barack Obama told the UN Security Council today that the next year will be critical for the global effort to control nuclear weapons.<br/><br/>President Obama spoke minutes after the 15-member council unanimously approved a US-drafted resolution calling on nuclear weapons states to scrap their deadly arsenals. The US President said, the next 12 months will be absolutely critical in determining whether this resolution and our overall efforts to stop the spread and use of nuclear weapons are successful.
