<br/>UN report on Millennium Development Goal was formally launched in New Delhi on Wednesday. It highlights areas of immediate attention in India and brings to the fore mal nutrition indicator, vulnerable employment, education and health. The report says 80% increase in last ten years in food prices in India has deprived Indians of nutritious food. <br/> <br/>The report says that right to education may prove an important mile stone in addressing the growing rate of illiteracy as India lies behind Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in this area. It also says India has the highest gender disparity ratio. <br/> <br/>The Rajya Sabha member Brinda Karat released the report. She said it is a red alert for the government and its current economic policies should be reversed to meet the established goals.<br/>
