The United Nations, UN has said that the governments across the globe have to redouble their efforts to promote inclusive growth and work for achieving the Millennium Development Goals, by 2015 .

Launching the Asia Pacific Regional MDG Report -2011-2012 in New Delhi today UN assistant Secretary General Ajay Chibbar said major sectors including health, water, nutrition, education and General Empowerment interventions need more attention to achieve the goal.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Rural Development, Mr. Jairam Ramesh stressed the need to reach the poor and vulnerable to achieve the goal.

Talking to Media persons, Mr. Ramesh called for more investments in various sectors to achieve the MDG goals. Mr. Ramesh however, maintained, that progress made by the country in the fields of education, Health and water sanitation is remarkable.
