Diplomats in Geneva have held their first negotiations with Iran on its nuclear programme in more than a year, but without any sign of a break-through. The permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany have been trying to persuade Iran to comply with resolutions on its nuclear activities. The talks will continue today. Western governments suspect that Iran is trying to develop a nuclear weapon, some thing Tehran denies.
