UN confirms 9 cases of Coronavirus among its staff in Geneva as of 30th March

<span style="color: #222222;">The United Nations has confirmed nine cases of Corona virus among its staff in Geneva office as of 30th of March. The Director of the UN Information Service Alessandra Vellucci said this in a letter to UN-accredited journalists in Geneva yesterday. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She denied further information to respect the confidentiality of the patients. She said that the United Nations is working closely with the Government of Switzerland and the World Health Organization for prevention and preparedness in the country.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Last week, Ms Vellucci had told a press briefing that 78 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed among the UN staff worldwide. Besides the UN Office in Geneva, the International Labour Organization, the World Trade Organization as well as the World Health Organization have all reported COVID-19 cases among their staff members.</span><br />''  <br />
