The UN climate change conference, COP 22, has begun debates on rules to implement the Paris Agreement. The landmark climate accord came into force last week. <br/><br/>Delegates from more than 190 countries and territories are attending the 12-day meeting that kicked off yesterday in Marrakech, Morocco. Moroccan foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar, who chairs the summit, said the Paris Agreement mobilized the international community and the Marrakech meeting must build on this momentum. <br/><br/>The delegates will also discuss ways to assess countries' emission targets, as well as financial assistance for developing nations. Signatories to the Paris Agreement will hold their first meeting, known as CMA1, during the UN conference.
