United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the UN would do everything possible to mobilise further assistance to stop the terrible tragedy as the wildfire continued to spread throughout the Carmel Mountains in northern Israel. The Israeli Forces are still operating to assist forces in the Carmel on their mission to extinguish the deadly fire in the area and evacuate the area's residents. 17 thousand residents have so far been evacuated from their homes as the wildfire has raged out of control in the Carmel hills south of Haifa.
