Uma expresses concern over growing farmers’ suicides in MP

Expressing concern over growing incidents of suicides by the farmers in the state, the former Chief Minister of Madhay Pradesh Uma Bharti urged ruling BJP and opposition congress to join hands to solve the problems of farmers. Talking to media in Bhopal today she said she will meet Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and union ministers from the state on this issue. Uma Bharti demanded that government staff should be held responsible for farmer's suicides related to agriculture. She said that farm loans and interest rate were not the only reason for the suicide in all the suicide cases in the state but the main reason for suicides was poverty.
