BJP leader and former Chief Minister Uma Bharti has accused the Congress and the Samajwadi Party of betraying minority community. Addressing party workers' meet in Jhansi, she said the BJP does not consider the minority community as mere vote bank.

On the demand for a new Bundelkhand state, she alleged that the Congress and BSP leader Mayawati were only interested in politics on the issue whereas BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh has already created a separate unit for it and promised that on coming to power the face of Bundelkhand region would be changed. She charged Mayawati and SP leader Mulayam Singh with supporting the Congress due to the fear of CBI.

Uma Bharti also said that Narendra Modi is not a good orator in comparison to Atal Bihari Vajpayee but people go to his rallies to show support rather than listen to him.
