ULFA team to hold peace talks with Centre today

The much-awaited peace talks between the Government and the outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom, ULFA will take place in New Delhi today. The eight-member rebel group led by its self-styled chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa is likely to meet the Home Ministry officials today to submit their charter of demands formally. The ULFA delegation is supposed to meet Union Home Secretary R.K. Singh, Centre’s peace interlocutor PC Haldar and senior Ministry officials. ULFA Chairman Rajkhowa told media persons in Guwahati that something positive will emerge during the first formal round of negotiation process with the Centre.
